Biography
Swaralipi Nandi is a scholar of postcolonial literature and theory, with a specialization in South Asia. Born in a small town in India, she has traveled all over the country to pursue her degrees in English literature. She has a BA from Burdwan University, MA from University of Hyderabad and an MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Currently, she is finishing up her PhD in English from Kent State University. Her dissertation studies the contemporary South Asian novels in the light of the issues of globalization, neoliberalism and subalternity. She has worked and published on a wide range of postcolonial texts and is particularly interested in interdisciplinary research endeavors.
