Location: London, U.K. | If you haven't checked it out already, check out the Bantam Dell site. They have "Second Life" virtual book signings... including a great one by George R.R. Martin.

Very cool idea! Anyone else seen Second Life readings like this?

Location: Dallas, Texas | well, the interview quite good, if brief, but the graphics were a bit creapy to me. perhaps if their mouths moved? i like the idea but the execution leaves much to be desired. i've been spoiled by Pixar.

Location: London, U.K. | Yes... and another twist is: signings using a machine which remotely transcribes the motions of the author's hand as it's signing the signature. Conrad Black did a signing in London from his home in Florida. Ah, technology!
And the inventor of the long- distance signing device in question? None other than Margaret Atwood!
