What does anyone else think about the Brothers Grimm?

Personally I feel that their contribution (or foundation) of horror has been under estimated.

Cannabalism. Forests. Executed bodies dangling from the gallows. Haunted castles.

The original 1815 versions are raw and full of images that horror fans will already know.

Why would anyone go to a churchyard at night and talk to their mother's grave? Why would you spend a night (or three) in a haunted castle? Why would you ignore a warning not to go in that house? Because it's horror, that's why!
