Synopsis
Varina is a Delikon, a race that conquered and reshaped the Earth generations ago, and an instructor of the gifted and beautiful human children who will someday rule the Delikon-imposed society. As a member of the Ruling House, she is young as Delikons reckon age and has been restructured to better integrate and interact with humans - with only her over-large cinnamon eyes to set her apart. Follow Varina and her two students, Alta and Jason, as they are caught up in a larger conflict than they ever dreamed of while on a journey to deliver Alta and Jason to the academy where they will begin their next stage of education. Varina, who has served nine times the usual Delikon service period, will discover whether she is an alien among humans or a human among aliens.
