The War of the Worlds

For a story this old it has aged remarkably well. Although some points in the story are off course in collision with the current scientific knowledge. The story in itself is (I suppose) pretty well known thanks to the movies (although they off course differ greatly from the book). The only thing that kept bothering me throughout the book was the fact that I don't have a an extensive knowledge of London. The book is filled with villages, streets & sights in the London area, like reading a travellers guide. But apart from that this truly is a SF Masterwork and should certainly be read by anyone with a love for SF (and everyone else too)
