Based on the Audible Audiobook version possible spoilers.
Liked the Dynamic between Qui Gon and Obi-Wan, especially the fact that the dynamic between Master and Apprentice was not an easy one. The fact that it tied into the end of the phantom menace was a nice touch for me. I liked the fact that both master and apprentice saw the problem as their failure and that both of them developed throughout the book ending in a closer relationship between them which of course developed into the relationship seen in the aforementioned movie.
For me, a negative was the characterisation of Yoda which for me did not match up with previous versions of Yoda. Forgetting the movies particularly Empire if you take the portrayal of Yoda in the Clone Wars saga which take place not long after this. The Yoda in this book is more confrontational and dismissive than seen anywhere else.
One final thing from the audiobook is the narrator gave Qui Gon a noticeable Irish accent but a peculiar lilt which as an Irish person was very noticeable and a little off-putting. Liam Neeson who is Irish had a less noticeable accent.
