Clarke provides enough clues and ET technology to keep the reader entranced while holding back on actually answering the questions that arise. An exercise in suspense and wonder and I'm glad there are sequels because I want more answers. I enjoyed the story, which had the familiar propulsion of most of his works. The recent visit to our solar system of the Oumuamua interstellar object resonated with this story and had me wondering whether Arthur C Clarke had actually predicted something here rather than inventing. Highly recommended reading. I'm currently hunting down the three other books in the Rama series.
