This was a lovely little novel. Little as in the sense, that it is about the problems of some little people. It's a thinly veiled novel about the nature of discrimination - but it's expertly packaged and perfectly executed. With a lot of well placed dead-pan humour, and a cast of very very real and loveable characters (Including the cutest antichrist ever :) ), it's a joy to read.
The love story is somehow, shyly introduced, and always in the background. I would have liked it for it to be better explored, as it's somehow integral to the plot, Linus falls in love with the island while at the same time falling in love with Arthur.
Anyway, a novel about a difficult subject, written in a feel-good manner.
