This really didn't stand up to the first book in the series. Nothing really happened, and Arika seemed to change personalities. The things which I had loved so much in the first book all just disappeared, and instead a new plot about evil trees was introduced. The book wasn't horrible, however, and then the end went and made everything that had happened in the duology pointless. I'm warning you - just stop with the first book!
