It was time to immersive myself in the legendary tale of Jekyll and Hyde a story everyone knows, but I didn't know well myself. I haven't watched any of the movies or associated much with it at all. Expect knowing the twist at the end which almost everyone already knows.
It's good, one of the classics I'm happy I read. Also definitely misinterpreted by pop culture, as almost everything is. That's why you have to read the source material for things. Getting a clear and unbias look at things is one of the things I've learned is most important when it comes to getting information reliably. The most major misinterpretation is that Jektll is just "good" and Hyde is "bad" which oversimplifies what's going on. it's a more complicated relationship where they both share more than you would think. There's a famous essay that was included in the version of the book I had done by Vladimir Nabokov and he went over this eloquently.
I liked how the author left out a lot of key information at times to build different things in the novel. I know that Nabokov said this wasn't styled like a mystery but the big reveal at the end did remind me of a Christie novel. I would check this one out if you haven't. Deserves the title of a classic.
