This is a story of Judgement Day. Not the one most often cited or worshipped. This one, the author's preferred result, is one much moree clearly and specifically slanted towards what is believed by the author to be true justice.
And indeed, the ending is far different, and far more equitable, than the ones proposed by various apocalyptic religious cults. Just this alone makes the work unique, though careful consideration of the exact form of Judgement Day shows a few distinctly quiestionable decisions regarding justice.
As such, the work is both novel and in it's own way, rather refreshing. Not to say this makes it a great work, but it is certainly a unique approach to the idea, presented as the author's hopes and wishes would make it.
