This is the first of a duology, and both must be read in order to get the full story. It was a bit disconcerting to reach the end of the first book and find that the story just stops with no ending. The second book continued the story and completed it.
Time travel novel, very well done. The novel works well because the author did a lot of research into the time period in which the majority of the book takes place.
The book is very claustrophobic and has an overall feeling of dread which, I'm sure, many people felt in London during the blitz.
The book was a bit long and the ending was a bit too neat, but overall it was very good
