I liked this book -- but I REALLY wanted to love it. The story was slow-moving, but the prose was well done, and the plot threads were so interesting and tantalising. I just knew that there was going to be a revelatory finish, and I kept waiting for that "payoff". Unfortunately, I'm still waiting. What a disappointment.
