This book was a little difficult to get into at first. I really just let myself go with it and go along for the ride. And what a crazy ride it was. Mieville's imagination is unparalelled. The new and strange types of Fantasy characters turn the genre on its ear. I would recommend this book to anybody who wants to get out of the overutilized world of Elves, Dragons, and Dwarves. This is really a fresh perspective with a modern styling.
The story is awesome. It brings about new concepts and characters that were identifiable and stimulating.
If you are a fan of the Fantasy / Sci-Fi genre then read this book.
