I liked the lyrical, dreamlike quality of this book. I was intrigued to find out how the first-person narration would be handled, following the death of the narrator, but having his voice become that of an unburied spirit worked well. I was not expecting Thetis and Patroclus to eventually bond over their mourning for Achilles,so that was very moving. Very well written and engaging.
