I started this on a whim; I was going to read Brave New World, but then realised every book I'd read this month was by a white person, so I picked this up. I made pretty quick work of it, too. The house as a character was something I absolutely loved, but didn't know I would want in a book. It was spooky - and I don't mean that in a childish way, but more... harrowing is perhaps a better word. The eating disorder was handled deftly, and it was just very, hm, luscious? Beautiful, anyway. So glad I read it, going to be recommending it to anyone who will take it (though I don't really know any readers), and will definitely get to her other books soon.
