Koko Takes a Holiday

Koko Takes a Holiday is the most fun book, start to finish, that I've read in a long time and my feeling is that if the cover appeals to you, you'll probably like it as well.

The story follows Koko, an ex-mercenary whose quiet retirement as a brothel-owner is interrupted when her old colleague (and current boss) decides to kill her. Koko flees to the Second Free Zone (huge airships) but is pursued by bounty hunters.

The character's are not deep (but we learn enough about them to root for or against them), the action is sharp, the pacing never lags, and the worldbuilding is excellent.
