All the Birds in the Sky

This is a really powerful intermeshing of fantasy and science fiction that just sang to me. It's a wonderfully quirky and odd novel about friendship and love and what the world needs to make it a better place. I loved how she can be simultaneously so playful (for example with her descriptions) and yet serious at the same time. To take the comically horrific and make it feel real, as she does, is quite a feat! I definitely need to re-read this one!
