Uprooted

A fairy tale with some deeper ideas about roots - literal and figurative. Lovely and very satisfying.

Some readers see the relationship between the two main characters as abusive. I can see their point but don't share it. You might want to proceed with caution.

Otherwise highly recommended. This book well deserves its awards.
