(Review pertains to both Europe in Autumn and Europe at Midnight.)
I thought as first that Europe in Autumn was going to be a fairly serviceable spy thriller, no big deal, but then it took a very sharp turn into "OMGWTFBBQ", and sailed on from there right through the second book. These books are dense, and sometimes hard to follow, but, oh wow. (The second one gave me a nightmare; I had to get up and check my phone to confirm that That Really Bad Thing hadn't actually happened in our world. Yet.)
