The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet

EXCELLENT. Very reminiscent of the TV series Firefly, except maybe without Mal's shading-to-grey morality; the captain of the Wayfarer is an absolute straight-shooter. More episodic than plotty, strongly character-driven, with a cast that is diverse in every imaginable way. I loved this to pieces, and broke in to a very happy happy dance when I discovered that there's a sequel coming out this fall.
