Crosstalk

It has been a long time since I got so caught up in a book that I didn't notice time passing, and ended up reading far too late into the night.

I don't know what it is about the synopsis of this book, but it didn't really appeal to me. But I was always going to read it anyway because it is Connie Willis. I picked it up expecting nothing much, but was totally engrossed by the end of chapter one.

This is a very lite book. A fun book more in the line of To Say Nothing of the Dog than Doomsday Book. It's got romance, and some very likeable characters. Best of all each time I thought I knew where the book was going, there would be a little twist and we were off in a direction I wasn't expecting.
