History
Spectrum Literary Agency was started by Eleanor Wood in 1976, and merged in 1978 with the agency founded by Lurton Blassingame in 1928. Mr. Blassingame (1904-1988) was one of the earliest and most respected American agents in the publishing business.
Spectrum Literary Agency handles both fiction and nonfiction works, though the majority of our clients write commercial fiction such as science fiction, fantasy, mystery/suspense, and romantic suspense.
Eleanor Wood, president of Spectrum Literary Agency, is the agent for the Science Fiction Writers of America (SFWA).
Spectrum authors are represented by Eleanor Wood and Justin Bell.
