Theology in Genre Fiction
Many genre books contain theological elements, in some form or another. For this challenge, choose books that the theological subgenre label could apply to.
Some ideas:
- religion and/or its practitioners, in a form recognized in real life
- religion and/or its practitioners, in a form created by the author
- spirituality not defined by organized religion
- mythological gods & goddesses
- angelic or demonic beings
- philosophical/existential themes, such as good vs evil
And check out the books tagged with "theological subgenre" here on Worlds Without End (though there are many qualifying books not included). How you interpret the challenge is up to you. Good luck and have fun!
