Deepsix

I read this immediately after The Engines of God, which really captivated my imagination and turned me on to Jack McDevitt as an author. This book continued in the same vein, very enjoyable. I can't figure out why this one was not a Hugo or Nebula candidate, when a few others that follow were. This set me on the path to finishing out the Academy series and reading the Alex Benedict books as well.
