How can the funeral rites and mummification of ancient Egypt, Balkan Vampire lore, Haitian Zombies, a fundamental mistake in understanding, and a few savage murders come together to make a novel?

I know it sounds like an impossible combination, but The Third Grave pulls it off.

Truly horrible. I mean by that, truly an overlooked horror gem.
